The Data module allows the use of two types of objects and one type of dictionary. Here, we will explain which objects you can use and how to make them.
You can add each Business Object and Data Object to a view only once.
Data objects
In the Data module, data objects are used. These objects can be found under the Application layer, and you create them just like you create other objects in BlueDolphin. You can drag data objects onto the view via the object browser. You can resize an object by customizing the width. You cannot, however, make the width smaller than the default value.
A data object must contain independent information with a clear meaning for the business. This information is communicated through interactions and is used or produced by application services.
Business objects
In addition to data objects, you can also use business objects in the Data module. These objects can be found under the business layer, and you create these just like you create other objects in BlueDolphin.
In a data view, you can add free shape objects and ArchiMate business objects alongside the Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) based on ArchiMate data objects. ArchiMate business objects are not part of the ERD. They represent the same business objects used in architecture views and provide additional architectural context to support the ERD.
