You can link multiple views to an object, image, free shape, or relationship/line on a view. The advantage is you can click through a relationship or object to another view, setting up a good navigation structure in BlueDolphin and, for example, adds in-depth insights to certain parts of the view.
In this article:
- Link a View
- Unlink a View
Follow the steps to link a View to an object, image, free shape, or relationship/line,
- In the edit mode, you can link a View to an object by clicking that object.
- Click the hyperlink icon to open the options then, select Link to a View.
- You can search for a view or browse through different categories. Select the view(s) you want to add and click Save.
To access a linked view in the edit mode , right-click and select Open linked views option.
In the view mode , you can navigate to the linked views. An object, relationship, or image to which a view is linked, gets a shadow around it as you move your mouse over it. Also, the mouse cursor shows a hand indicator and a tooltip that tells you to double-click to open the view.
One view linked
If one view is linked, it opens immediately when you double-click the object.
Multiple views linked
If multiple views are linked, double-click the object to display the list of linked views.
It is also possible that a view has been removed by the owner or that you don't have access to it.
In this case, you can see an orange exclamation mark in front of the title of the toolbox.
By clicking one of these views, you will get an error message.
In BPMN, you can also link to other BPMN views. Use Call activity to link to another process. If a process has the official view, right-click to open it.

NOTE: If the View has a process object linked to an official process, that official process gets automatically linked to the object and this connection cannot be removed.
Unlink a View
To unlink a view from an object, image, free shape, or relationship/line,
Click the hyperlink button and a list of available views will open. From the section Selected, uncheck the view that you want to remove and click Save.
