The multiple-selection option in the dropdown field allows you to select multiple options or answers to a question. A questionnaire contains two fields where you can use the multiple-selection option. These questionnaire fields are:
- Multiple-choice field
- Relationship field
We will explain in short how these two fields work with the multiple-selection dropdown menu.
1. You can create a multiple-choice field as follows:
In the Admin menu, go to Object questionnaires or Relationship questionnaires and select the questionnaire for which you would like to create a multiple-choice field. Click Add field .
For the option Type, select Dropdown/Multiple select.
The field Possible values shows you which values will be visible in BlueDolphin after you have saved the field.
After you have saved the field and the questionnaire is linked to an object, you will find this questionnaire field in the Objects tab. It will look like this:
If you click on the multiple-selection field, you can choose all options that you want to add as an answer.
Now you have successfully created a multiple-selection questionnaire field.
2. You can create a multiple-selection relationship field as follows:
The relationship field of a questionnaire can also be answered through a multiple-selection dropdown option. To create a relationship questionnaire field, go to the Admin > Object questionnaires and select the object questionnaire for which you want to add this field. Click Add field .
After this, for the option Type select Relationship.
Here enter the relationship combination that you would like to offer as an option in this questionnaire field. Enter the object definition of your selected object and the relationship definition that defines the connection between object definitions.
In this case, all possible relationship combinations in your environment between objects and/or processes that have this relationship definition (for example used by) will be visible in the dropdown list of the relationship field of the questionnaire.
If you click on these relationships manually, they will also be added as real relationships in the tenant.
Now you have successfully created a multiple-selection relationship field.
