The spider tool allows you to manage a selection of objects to be placed on the canvas from the "spider", in order to minimize unnecessary deletion actions after adding objects to the canvas.
Click on an object and then click on the spider tool icon . A multi-selection dropdown is shown with all objects that can be added to the object.
By default, all existing relationships between the selected objects are displayed on the view. You have the option to choose not to display relationships while adding related objects.
To opt out of displaying, uncheck the box next to Display relationships of the selected objects on the view. The selection you make will be applied to both the objects to be added to the view and any existing objects on the view.
Please note that if you choose not to display the relationships, the relationships with existing objects will not be created.
It is possible to search for objects via the search bar, but it is also possible to expand various layers. After selecting the desired objects, they can be added to the toolbar by clicking on the OK button. The added object(s) remain selected on the canvas.
It is also possible to display the derived relationships for object types by clicking this icon. Another dropdown menu shows all object types from the repository. By clicking on the object type, BlueDolphin checks whether a derived relationship exists.
Note: It can take some time for everything to load.
