You can link multiple views to a relationship or line on a view. The advantage of this is that when you click through a relationship or line to another view, that makes it easy to set up a good navigation structure in BlueDolphin and, for example, to add in-depth insights to certain parts of the view.
In the edit mode, you can link a view to a relationship/line by clicking that relationship/line. The following tool will be shown:
By clicking the hyperlink button , you will see a list of all the views that you can choose from.
As you can see in the image above, you can search for a view in the search bar or browse through different categories. By clicking a view, it will be linked to the relationship/line.
In the view mode , you can navigate to the linked views. A relationship/line to which a view is linked is bold as soon as you move your mouse over it. Also, the mouse cursor shows a hand-indicator and you will see a tooltip that tells you to double-click to open the view.
To access a linked view in the edit mode , right-click on the line/relationship, click Open linked views and select the view that you want to open:
To unlink a view, click the hyperlink button and a list of available views will open. From the section Selected, uncheck the view that you want to remove and click Save.
The following functionalities are not supported at the moment:
- Displaying images, including any linking between those, in historical previews and BlueDolphin AMEFF export files
- Linking images to objects
- Linking views to images
One view linked
If one view is linked, it will open immediately when you double-click the relationship/line.
Multiple views linked
If multiple views are linked, a list of views is displayed. By clicking the view you want to see, it opens.
It is also possible that a view has been removed by the owner or that you don't have access to it.
In this case, you will see an orange exclamation mark in front of the title of the toolbox.
By clicking one of these views, you will get an error message.
If you work in BPMN, you can also link to other BPMN views. Use Call activity to link to another process. If a process has the official view, you can open it by right-clicking.
