Public API General Availability - Release Notes (April 12th, 2024)

Integrate BlueDolphin with other applications in your ecosystem.

You can now use the Public API, a RESTful API, to connect BlueDolphin to other applications in your ecosystem. Through the API, you can change, read, update and delete objects, object definitions, relations and users in BlueDolphin.

Specifically, the API will provide the following benefits:

• Make it easier and faster to connect BlueDolphin to other systems by providing a standardized, well documented way for other applications to communicate with BlueDolphin.
• Robustness - using a standard API ensures that BlueDolphin functionality is accessed through a well defined and controlled interface, reducing risks and errors.
• Lower the cost of ownership by ensuring compatibility. Integrations will continue to work correctly when BlueDolphin is upgraded to a new release.
• Increase business impact. As a customer you can innovate and embed BlueDolphin in your Ecosystem. This can lead to the creation of new services, applications, and functionalities on top of BlueDolphin.
• Ecosystem growth. These new integrations will be the foundation for an ecosystem around BlueDolphin, providing you with a choice of potential integrations.

This is the first version of our public API. As such, we welcome comments and suggestions for improvement. We will take these into account when further developing both the collaborative power of BlueDolphin and the ease of growing and maintaining decisive insights.

The public API documentation and Swagger definition are available, including example usage and guidance on how to use the API.
