Relation between Busisness Process and application design in BlueDolphin
How to explain the relation between business process and applications in BlueDolphin
In BlueDolphin we use the views to explain the relation between business processen and application. The level to which extend we model details in our view is dependend on the audience we make our view for. In the example below we use different level of explanation. We start by modelling the different business process steps in the view. If needed we can ad a BPMN view of the process, to further explain the detailed steps of the process.
Below the process steps, we model out our applications. Sometimes it is sufficient to only model the flow between our applications. This is mostly the case iun the decision phase, in this phase it's enough to only model the flow between the applications.
When we go further down the design process, we also want to decide on 'how' these applications are integrated. That is the time to make a more detailled view and alse model our middleware, API platform, application services and interfaces. The latter design is more intended for the converstion with the builders of the integration between the applications.
