Abillity to add Metadata to a View and show it on the view
CompletedI would like to be able to add Metadata to a View, just as to Objects.
This will enable me to add date and author(s) information, as well as audience and security classification and other data.
I would then like the option to show this metadata on the view and have BD keep it in sync
(this last sentence could make this complex and may be worthy of another request topic, but to keep it simple I keep it in here)
This addition of metadata will also help searching, sorting and filtering view as suggested in this topic: Sorteren van views op laatst gewijzigd en type – BlueDolphin (zendesk.com)

Hi all,
Metadata for a view is available as part of the 'history on views' feature that was released in December 2021. The release also included a sort functionality in the 'Open view' dialog, with the default sort on the 'Last edited' column. Please check these links for more information:
History on views – BlueDolphin (zendesk.com)
12/12/2021: Release note – BlueDolphin (zendesk.com)
Thank you.

Yes, I would like that too.
(Maybe also add the ability to add comments on a view, so that they are not visible on the view itself).1 -
Ameya Sapre, the feature that was released was a first step towards my intention for this product wish. The essence of my product wish was that i was able to add additional metadata to a view. This was not part of the feature that was released.

Done:
Ability to show view metadata on a view and have it update automatically – BlueDolphin (zendesk.com)I would still like to hear more about the option to add metadata fields to a view myself.

So, actually, the wish is not completed at all...

What's more, if a view were treated as an object, it could also be queried through oData (and API)
Fun bonus would be that request https://valueblue.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4409128953362-Share-a-view-as-an-embeded-picture-real-time-change-in-other-applications-such-as-Confluence would than also me completed. Victor Bicknese could query the view from Confluence... how's that?

Hi Renso J
Thank you for your wish! I will discuss it with the product owner. MG || Gemeente Tilburg, I will also discuss your addition to this wish!
When I have more information, I will update this post.

Hi all,
I want to let you know that the possibility to add metadata is part of one of our next releases! I suggest subscribing to the release topic, so you are informed when this feature is launched!

Hi Renso J,
Thank you for the feedback. Can you please share which additional metadata would you like to add to a view and also the business need?

Like I mentioned in the description of the wish, security, audience, etc. But these are only examples limited to my personal imagination. I think my peers could think of many different metadata fields to add. Just like they are with questionnaires and object metadata.
Additionally, as you can read in the description of the wish. I want to be able to place a metadata field on the view itself and have it updated automatically. Granted, this technically should be a different product wish. If you want, I am happy to make a new wish for it.

Thank you Renso J. If you can add a new wish, that would be wonderful.

Thanks for the support MG || Gemeente Tilburg. My point exactly.

Hi Renso J, I guess you're looking for the standpoint where a view is an object as much as anything, thus should be able to have properties, right? This might combine nicely with https://valueblue.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/5884480006674-Introduceer-staging-DEV-ACC-PRD-ie-versioning-LCM

Great, thank you!
With regard to adding metadata to a view, there are no plans to support this. But, I'm very curious to know more about the use case. We can setup a meeting to discuss. Please reach out to me at ameya.sapre@valueblue.com
Thanks.
