Add RACI in BPMN diagram steps and make it visible in diagrams
AnsweredWe would like to assign RACI properties - or something similar- to BPMN process steps. We know we can add RACI or other desired properties to a Business Process in Archimate. This wish however is about the BPMN module and more specifically the BPMN diagrams.
Ideally, the user clicks on a process step and then a pane allows the user to fill in the RACI properties. This includes free text fields, pre-populated drop-downs, or relations to other Archimate objects. In addition, an option is given to show or hide the RACI values on the BPMN diagram itself for easy consumption.

That is possible and works like adding properties to an Archimate object via a BlueDolphin questionnaire.
In Admin your BlueDolphin administrator can create a questionnaire for RACI properties e.g. named "RACI". Next the administrator can add the questionnaire to one or more BPMN objects e.g. Send Task.
With 'show objectviewer' enabled, select a Send Task in your diagram to see the "RACI"-questionnaire

Gerard,
Thanks. Now that you wrote this, I do remember this option. So this answers the first portion of my wish. However, we would really like to have the RACI roles displayed on the BPMN view directly. For example, just below the task itself or in a sepate horizontal divider between swimlanes. Is that something you would consider building?

Hi Marco, So you would like to see metadata as text on the canvas? We had a topic on the wishlist for this in the past. I have to dive into this again to see if that still is on the list. I think this is an excellent feature. Last week we also discussed this with another customer.
We also have a BPMN improvement on the list, that allows you to create conditional formatting, so you can create a heatmap on the view. That can also be used to see RACI information.
Both topics are different items, but can give the same functional result.
