BPMN message start event
Completed- What is your wish?
Please add the BPMN Message Start Event
- Why do you want this wish?
Many processes start by a triggering message that is received, for instance a request received by e-mail of webform.
- Do you have a workaround? And if so, what is it?
Normal startevent with a free text comment
- How would you ideally solve the problem?
Support for the official BPMN symbol for it: a startevent with an envelop symbol.
- How big is the wish on a scale from 1 to 5? (1 = it would be nice, but definitely not necessary, and 5 = I cannot work another day without it).

Hi all,
Message start event is possible in the Alpha version of the new BPMN that is currently being tested by a selected group of customers.
Thank you,
Team ValueBlue

Totally agree, but shouldn't we combine all these wishes into one big wish to get all the symbols and functions of the BPMN standard in BlueDolphin?

Thanks for the support.
One big wish is usually difficult to agree on/plan on. I assume they work with an agile development approach. Small steps are beautiful and easier to plan. Let's together Kata this tool to perfection.

Thanks for your wish! I am going to add this to our wish list.
Small steps lead to big changes! And I really appreciate you and all the other users of BlueDolphin who are helping us with making BlueDolphin even better than it already is.

Perhaps you're right Roeland Loggen - I have downsized my big wish to just the objects I need in that thread/wish (annotation + other types of boundaries for intermediate events).

Sad to see that after 6 months such a simple wish is not granted yet.

Any news on this? I am raising the wish scale to a 4. And MG || Gemeente Tilburg my hope that small wishes would get quicker implementation don't seem to have the hoped result...

In the end it all boils down to conforming to the BPMN standard.
Even though the conformation doesn't have to be all at once, I can imagine that developers can combine multiple small wishes into one development iteration. Anyway, I agree with Roeland and we want the conformation and expansion of BPMN @BlueDolphin.0 -
Hear hear! Totally agree with MG || Gemeente Tilburg and Roeland Loggen. Please bring BPMN up to par.
