History Report
Creating reports help us maintaining the repository. Since we introduced our latest feature, 'History on objects,' you can also create a new report type.
Before I tell you more about creating a report about the history of objects, I must explain how to change your reports' source.
Most of you already know where and how to create a report, but I'll start from the very beginning to make sure I am not skipping any vital information for anybody. So first of all, you go to the reports tab in your BlueDolphin tenant and start a new report by clicking the plus-symbol.
Now everybody knows where and how to create a report, we can start changing the report's source.
You can click on the three dots next to 'domain: <code>' and select 'Change Source.'
You will see a pop-up message where you can choose for 'History'. Now, you will have the possibility to choose a start and end date. Click on 'Apply' followed by 'OK,' and you ready to create your report.
One important thing to know: Only the changes after February 15 will be visible.
It's time to dive deeper into creating a history report. You can create your report based on:
- General: based on the changes of the object title or object properties;
- Relationships: based on the changes of relationships labels, types, or the direction
- Questionnaires: based on the change of the name of a question or the input of the question
I will show you how to make a history report based on input changes from a questionnaire field. So let's get started!
We will need to drag the following values into the report editor:
- From OBJECTS -> Title
- From QUESTIONNAIRE -> Questionnaire name, Question Field, Question Input, Question Input(old)
If you have found all the values, your report will look like this:
With this report, you can notice the changes made on the object named 'Object Restauratie'. The questionnaire 'Application Properties' has a question: costs per year, and you can see a user has changed this field. When you add the values 'Timestamp' and 'Changed By,' you can see who made these changes and when.
