Add a 'layer order' panel
Not plannedWhen having a lot of shapes or objects on a view that are on top or behind each other it can become difficult to manage the z-index of a shape or object.
In my experience with other canvas-oriented software there is usually a possibility to open a 'layer pane'. This pane lists all objects and shapes on a view sorted by the z-index.
This pane then allows to reorder the shapes and objects effectively changing the z-index very easily.
It would be very helpfully to me when BlueDolpin also has this feature.
The way I see this realized in the application is as follows:
Add a button on the ribbon that shows or hides the layer pane
The pane lists all shapes and objects
The pane allows to select a shape or object and drag and drop to change the index
Changes are stored automatically and reflected on the view after save (maybe after a manual refresh click to prevent refresh chaos :))

This would be a nice feature indeed, on views with a lot of overlapping objects, the sorting to the back- and foreground can be very cumbersome. This holds mostly for free shapes (rectangles) that I use to plot certain objects on groups within groups (within groups).
