Using templates to create new Architecture, BPMN, Logical Data viewsCompleted
During the implementation our consultant did encourage the use of template views. I think that is a good advice. It will help to create a more standardised way of working and will ease the efforts to keep a common lay out.
Current way of working is to go to a template view and use the 'save as...' functionality.
However, users still use the new view-functionality in the header and that creates a blank view.
The wish is to attach a number of named templates so the user could choose the template to create a new view. These named templates could be created like it is today. In the admin module I would like to have these linked to the new-view menu items: Architecture, BPMN, Logical Data.
I think it would be nice to be able to name the template (display text), define a sort order, for which user group(s) it would be visible, etc.
Templates that are already availble like ISO27001 and others (https://valueblue.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/360000793519-View-inspiration-) could be available as a default template.
An overview of the available templates to choose from and a thumbnail would make it visually more attractive (like in Word, etc). See the example.
