Fix stability of BPMN-editor
Completed- What is your wish?
Increase stability of BPMN-editor
(Note to other VB BPMN-editor users: please add to this list and let me know if you have the same issues! I am posting this on purpose as a wish.)
- What is the problem you encounter?
We are encountering various instabilities when editing BPMN-diagrams. The most common ones.
- We add an line, suddenly two lines are drawn. We try to remove one line - both lines are removed. See pictures below.
- Auto-save issues. We are working on an BPMN-diagram, and auto save warns suddenly that the diagram can not be saved. We have no way to restore or fix. Close window. If we continue, see pictures: we think things are right (picture 2) but when refreshing only part of our work has been saved!
- Object Not found error. Suddenly appearing error-message. No clue why it pops up or if we should worry. Usually by clicking Ok it disappears with no consequences.
We are using the suggested supported browsers.
- Why do you want this wish?
We want a stable BPMN-editor and not loose our work!
- Do you have a workaround? And if so, what is it?
No!
- How would you ideally solve the problem?
- How big is the problem on a scale from 1 to 5?
(1 = it would be nice, but definitely not necessary,
5 = I can't work another day without it). - 5. The issue: these are little bugs that sometimes occur. But it makes the trust in the tool lower and reduces acceptance.

Official comment
Hi all,
We have recently released an Alpha version of the new BPMN that has a completely new tech stack and improves stability and reliability. It is currently being tested by a selected group of customers.
Thank you,
Team ValueBlue

Hi Roeland, I ave not experienced the issues you mentioned, just so you know.

I have the same experiences, where the double line is the least annoying. Adding a new lane (new actor/role) and reorganizing tasks has resulted multiple times in a 'frozen view'. Re-entering that view looks different from how I left it (tasks have been seen outside the pool?!) and results in rework to get everything back to how it was - hoping BlueDolphin won't go nuts again.
I agree with your analysis: you can work around these issues, but it costs time and reduces trust in the tool (by me and other users I'm trying to get to work with the tool). A fix (or even a reaction) would be highly appreciated!
