Object hints in Architecture viewsPlanned
This wish is inspired by a feature of Archi, a free modeling tool.
- What is your wish?
When clicking on an object or a relationship in an architecture view, provide a Hints box that describes the type, legal relationships, typical uses, and examples.
- What is the problem you encounter?
For those less familiar with the objects and relationships, this would accelerate modeling, decrease the learning curve, encourage proper usage, and discourage improper usage and workarounds.
- Why do you want this wish?
To support my community of users most of whom are new to Archimate, and to reduce the support burden upon myself and BlueDolphin
- Do you have a workaround? And if so, what is it?
Provide links to other Archimate references. These are not context-sensitive, however.
- How would you ideally solve the problem?
Implement the feature as described. Could perhaps be implemented as a tab on the same control as the Object Browser.
- How big is the problem on a scale from 1 to 5?
2 - would be quite useful but is not critical
