Flexibility in the UI on Field naming (vs consistency in data/reporting)

Problem: Reporting flexibility (the more userfriendly (=longer most of the time) we make the fieldnames, the harder it is to create reporting (via oData and PowerBI mostly). Also changing fieldnames creates a lot of rework in PowerQuery.

 

Why? having fixed fields AND non fixed fields provides flexibility in how we visualize it towards users and (viewing) stakeholders

 

What? 

• questionnaires should have a fixed 'name' and a non fixed to use in the UI (longer names that reflect more to.....on explanation or definition f.e.)
• grouping or explanation fields that only can be used in the UI (in addition to the mouse-over function of fields)
