Orca - Relationship lifecycle state flexibility (February 10th 2025)

In a previous release, when creating a new relationship via the relationship tab, BlueDolphin enforced specific rules for determining the lifecycle state of the relationship based on the states of the source and target objects:

• Current to Current → Relationship could be either Current or Future.
• Current to Future → Relationship was always Future.
• Future to Current → Relationship was always Future.
• Future to Future → Relationship was always Future.

With this new release, these platform-enforced rules have been removed. 

Users now have full flexibility to define relationship lifecycle states according to their specific functional needs. BlueDolphin will no longer impose restrictions, allowing for more logical and adaptable relationship management.

We encourage users to review and update their configurations (Relations & Diagram permission on roles) as needed to take advantage of this enhanced flexibility.
