    Hi Mike,

Thanks for your wish :)! At the moment you can only see when the view was last edited.

Do you want a notification for every change? For example via e-mail? Or do you mean a history of changes (for example with the time and date and a short description of the change) on one of the tabs on the view?

Doen we hier Nederlands of Engels? :)

What I'd like to see is a list of changes on objects that are on my View when I open it since last time I opened (or changed) it. Something like "Application X has changed name to Application Ex" or "Actor BA" has been deleted from the repository.

This way you are able to make the necessary changes to your view and not be surprised when you're opening a view during a presentation and seem to have got it all wrong.

So, not per e-mail, that'd be too much.
A view doesn't have tabs right? So that wouldn't make sense either I guess.

    We prefer English!

Okay, thanks for the more detailed explanation! And where on the view would you like to see this list of changes?

I can imagine that that would be too much if you receive every change per e-mail! And you are right, what I meant was: A possibility is a tab, just like when you click on an object, where you can see this list of changes.

Please let us know where you would like to see it on the view so I can discuss this with my team.

Maybe the best place would indeed be a 'tab', although on a View there are no tabs, so there could be an Icon next to the magnifying glass at the top of the screen. Maybe the icon could be a Star, which lights up when changes in relevant objects have been made. Maybe it could even have a number at the top right corner just like apps on your phone denoting how many objects have been changed or removed since the last update or view of the View.

Any other place (left, right, overlay) would also be too much I guess, so you want to hide it away somewhere, but still keep it visible. I guess VB's developers would also have some ideas.

    Hi Mike,

We will create a tab on views(view objects) that show all changes that are made (by who and when) to that view, like:

    • Adding/Moving/Deleting objects, relationships, shapes, text fields
    • Adding/Modifying View Title
    • Adding/Modifying/Deleting shared users

You can expect it in one of the next releases :) so I'll keep you posted!

Kim van Rooijen The addition of History on a specific object is not what this wish was about. So it was not in 'your latest release' or is it coming in the next release (I'm confused by your last two comments) ?

The wish was on views, specifically:

We will create a tab on views(view objects) that show all changes that are made (by who and when) to that view, like:

    • Adding/Moving/Deleting objects, relationships, shapes, text fields
    • Adding/Modifying View Title
    • Adding/Modifying/Deleting shared users

You are completely right; sorry for the confusion!  But I have some good news,  history on views is planned for Q2!

Ameya Sapre No it was not.

My wish was for changes to OBJECTS that are altered / removed outside of the view. The history on views only tells us what has changed ON the view, not outside of it. My wish remain to be able to see what objects are altered (name) or removed from the repository altogether. As in my topic starting message "sometimes you come back to a view after some period of time and notice that all kinds of objects have different names or have been removed". This does not make a good appearance with your stakeholders.

    Please reopen this wish.

    Hi MG || Gemeente Tilburg,

Thank you for the clarification. A classic case of lost in translation!

    I have reopened the wish.
