improve performance and usability of the User Interface

I understand the benefits of a browser-based SaaS solution. But the tool can be frustrating to use when I am feeling my most productive because it is slow to respond.

First, the application should have some kind of indicator that indicates it has received a click or command and are waiting for a response. Spinners are common and should appear whenever a command is received and there is any meaningful delay in responding. For special situations, when the process is known to be slow in responding,  progress bars may be warranted.

 

Second, I hope you are instrumenting your application to identify the actual performance and continually seeking to improve it.
