    Hi Sylwester Tomczyk,

This is an interesting wish. Thank you for sharing.

Just curious, is state an editable property on a data object in this use case?

    Hello Ameya Sapre

As far as I can tell it is a reference to a collection as objects can usually have different states.

    Hi Sylwester Tomczyk,

A data object can have a reference to a business object from ArchiMate and that business object can change state as the process is executed. Is this what you mean? If so, where/how do you maintain the state on the referenced business object?

    Hi Ameya Sapre

I used to use the states of the data objects when drawing the BPMN flows to display how the object state changes when going thru different steps. Thus I don't necessary imply that it is the business object that has to be added to the BPMN flow to display.

I looked at the OMG BPMN SPEC and I found the following:

https://www.omg.org/spec/BPMN/2.0/PDF the definition is on the page 205 and 206.

Let me know if that helps to understand if the above references are anyhow helpful.
